Linda Jo is a Psychiatric Mental Health, Child, Adolescent, and Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is an international speaker/educator and Founder/President/CEO of Quality Life, a comprehensive wellness clinic in Fargo, ND. Linda Jo has provided psychiatric assessments, medication management and psychotherapy to clients for many years. She has provided care to clientele at a community mental health clinic, juvenile detention center, psychiatric residential treatment center, day treatment center, county evaluation program, and in private practice. She is a published author and researcher with publications including Diagnosis and Classification of Pediatric Bipolar Disorder . Journal of Affective Disorders. 105, 205-212. With extensive experience as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist serving children, adolescents and adults, and as a graduate of Minnesota Graduate School of Nursing, Linda Jo has spent more than a decade assessing, diagnosing, providing medical management and psychotherapy, and evaluating outcomes for a wide variety of clients with mental health issues. Linda Jo coordinated clinical and nursing services to successfully help start up the first free-standing Psychiatric Hospital in North Dakota.
Linda Jo also provides Healing Touch Therapy, a research-based energy therapy shown to provide a wide variety of benefits that work in harmony with traditional medical treatment. It has shown to be effective in reducing stress, calming anxiety and depression, decreasing pain, strengthening the immune system, deepening spiritual connection, easing acute and chronic conditions and creating a sense of well-being. Linda Jo has additional interest in functional medicine employs a systems-oriented medical approach that works to identify and understand the underlying or root causes of a disease. This discipline takes into account the personalization of healthcare, as each patient care plan is distinct and unique. The relationship between patient and practitioner effectively becomes a partnership; every aspect of a patient’s medical history is reviewed in detail. Its proponents claim that it focuses on the "root causes" of diseases based on interactions between the environment and the gastrointestinal, endocrine, and immune systems to develop "individualized treatment plans".
